Mystery: Petroglyph Jug

This is a thrown jug, 7" high x 4.5" in diameter, with an applied loop handle. The exterior is unglazed; the interior glazed. Incised around the side are two animal figures in the manner of petroglyphs, or prehistoric rock carvings: |
One appears to be an antelope (above left); the other a cow (above right). Each of the drawings has been incised in a single continuous line. Quite a trick on paper, let alone in clay. There are no marks. |
