Fulper Pottery Reproductions Alert!
FAKE
Fulper Vase This item's photos were sent by an unsuspecting
buyer, who thought she was purchasing an authentic Fulper vase at an
auction. This vase is all wrong beginning with the mark.
The Fulper 'racetrack mark' is always well-defined, not crude as this
mark is. The clay is red, not yellow or buff. The glaze is
nothing like a true Fulper glaze, even though it does have some nice
'drippy' characteristics. While Fulper did have
forms with loop handles, they did not produce pieces with curly
Q's. We have no idea about the country of origin, but it was not
produced by the Fulper Pottery.
